iMagine STEAM Festival

On September 28, 2019, Team SPORK attended the iMAGINE STEAMFest in Rock Hill, South Carolina. “The iMAGINE STEAM Festival in Rock Hill is designed to showcase preK-12 education and career pathways in Science, Technology, Arts, Engineering and Math (STEAM) through fun, hands-on learning for families from across York, Chester and Lancaster Counties.”

While at the STEAMFest, Team SPORK ran a game with our robot, SPORKReach, where kids could take turns driving the robot. While not driving, they could throw beanbags into cascading rings (much like Skee-Ball).

Team SPORK also took ourĀ SPORKCannon and our 2019 robot, SPORKnik, which we demoed during a 20 minute stage show. During the show, we explained FIRST, FRC, the 2019 challenge, and some of the technical details of our robots. We wrapped up ourshow by firing off a couple of T-Shirts.
