NC Tech Conference
January 24, 2020
Team SPORK attended the NC Tech Conference to help spread the message of FIRST and STEM with FIRST NC President Marie Hopper. We demonstrated our 2017 robot Dr. Steam to many tech companies from across North Carolina.
North Carolina FLL State Competition

On January 18th and 19th members and mentors of Team SPORK volunteered at the North Carolina FLL State Competition. Mathnasium Math Night

Team SPORK participated in Mathnasium Math Night at Huntersville Elementary School on January 16. Members helped set up different booths and interacted with many children, encouraging them to have fun with STEM and math activities. FLL Junior Expo

On December 07, Team SPORK hosted an FLL Jr. Expo at our school, Pine Lake Preparatory. Cannon FLL Competition

Team SPORK students and mentors volunteered at a FIRST Lego League competition at Cannon School on Sunday, November 24. Our students refereed game tables, attended the scoreboard, and judged events such as Project and Robot Design. SPORK mentors and returning alumni also judged the Core Values, Project, and Robot Design events.

Second Harvest Food Bank
November 21, 2019
Second Harvest Food Bank supplies food through 19 counties in North and South Carolina through over 700 pantries, soup kitchens, homeless shelters, and programs for low-income children and seniors and distributes 54 million pounds of food each year in 19 counties.
